Soon Christmas!

Good afternoon! I´m all busy now with family, guests and small secret projects, so I don´t have anything to show...

but I do want to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!!

Warm winterhugs,

Advent card

Good morning everyone! This card is for a challenge at a webshop called Oppio, they want to see cards with red, brown and white and that you sign a call at this page. My links will only give you a lot of text in Swedish, I´m sorry for that, but I´m quite happy with the finished card and wanted to show it to you too :) And my Swedish readers still have some time to enter the challenge.

The sentiment says Adventstid and it means Advent time.
Decorpapers are from Panduro. Swirlstamp is Tim Holtz and sentiment is Landstoken. Corners are Cuttlebug. I´ve used red and brown shades of Versa Color and Distress Inks for distressing and stamping. Rangers Stickles for small dots. Buttons, gems and thread are from my stash.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far,

White Christmas

Good afternoon everyone! Have you been following Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas? He makes the most wondeful things, amongst them I saw some lovely memory capsules. He filled one of them with glitter to create a shaker pin. That inspired me for this card. As I don´t have the capsules I cut a hole with a Nestie and covered it with acetate from a veggie pack. I lined the inside border with foam pads and filled it with some glass beads (I made a first try with glitter but it was too static and covered the acetate).
The background is also cut out with a Nestie but a slightly larger size. I stamped it with a TH frame and a sentiment from Kortmakaren that says "Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year in Swedish. I also distressed it before I glued it to place at the foam pads.
The image is Magnolia and the swirl is TH, the decorpaper is Panduro, snowflake is Cuttlebug. Pearls are made with Rangers Liquid Pearls and I´ve also added Stickles for some texture.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge

Just Magnolia: For someone special
Friday Sketchers: I was inspired the fab sketch, but I don´t have circle nesties... just wanted to show what I made of the lovely sketch

Time for a cup of tea,

Here´s yet another Christmas card, I went with the classic red and green. The wonderful layout is from Penny Black Saturday Challenge. It´s perfect for all scrap pieces, mine are from a deli Prima decorpaper.

The image is Penny Black and the sentiment is Kortmakaren. The red flower is created with QK and Cuttlebug dies. Big swirl is Sissix. Small swirls, corners and borderfrill are Cuttlebug. I made a charm from a Reprint brad. The red berries are made with Rangers Stickles and the star button is painted with Crackle Paint. Star button, thread, gem and roses are from my stash.

Cupcake Craft Challenges: red and green.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge: use a charm.
Penny Black Saturday Challenge: the fab layout.

I´m quite overwhelmed this week. I have got two lovely badges:

And I did win a prize at By The Cute And Girly, a 20$ gift voucher at Simon Says Stamp. It must have been my lucky week, I´m very happy for this, especially as I´m just recovering from the flu. This made me feel so much better and I´ll soon be at my feet as usually :)

Addition: God Jul och Gott Nytt År means Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year in Swedish. Thanks for pointing it out Pops, did forget to mention that :)

Hope you all are doing well and don´t get the flu,

Gift card holder

Good evening everyone! I´m sorry that I´m a bad blogger at the moment, I´ve got so much around me at the moment. I believe Christmas countdown has started with all planning it includes for visiting relatives and other gatherings.

This card is a part of those Christmas preparations. It´s a gift card holder for someone lucky, won´t tell who, Santa still has some secrets. As you all can guess it´s for someone who plays american football and belongs to the Solna Chiefs team, and it´s a male card :)

The image is Greeting Farm and it´s coloured with watercolour pens. I added some black glossy details with a Sakura pen. Decorpaper is Blue Awning. Stars are QK and alphabet is Sissix. Tiny stars and thread are from my stash.

Here´s the inside with the gift card holder. I cut out the helm from a stamped image and coloured it with Sakura pens. The bigger stars are filled with Stickles. I´m sorry that the photos are blurred, but it was so cloudy today.

This card enters this weeks challenge at Cupcake Crafts Challenges.

Tomorrow I´ll visit a small local church and listen to all lovely Advent hymns. After church I´ll have a cake with raisins and almonds, that´s a part of my Christmas traditions :)

I hope you all have a fab weekend,

Christmas card for a pre-schooler

Good morning everyone! This is my first try with a side step card, just love the shape of it. I used Bonnies fab tutorial, she makes wonderful cards.
This card is for a pre-schooler and as a pre-schooler I loved all things glittery, so I´ve been very generous with the glitter... and everything else too. Don´t know why and I´m not so sure of the result, but I think a pre-schooler could love it. I´ll make a second one, but keep it a bit cleaner, a lot more cleaner, hehe.

I have used Rangers Stickles and snow white glitter from Panduro. The image and the lovely tree are Penny Black (thanks Simon Says!), the Christmas presents are Magnolia. The snowflakes are Cuttlebug. Ribbon, stars, heart and green staplers are from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the decor paper I made with different ink pads.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge
- Christmas card for a pre-schooler or babys first Christmas.
Bizzy Becs- Creatalicious Challenges- Christmas card with glitter and snowflakes.
Colour Create Challenge- red, white an green with the optional Christmas.
Simon Says Stamps Challenge- animal antics.
Penny Black Saturday Challenge- Winter Wonderland.

Hope you all get some sun today! It´s rainy and cloudy here again. But we did have a wonderful and sunny day yesterday. This November has been so dark, until Friday we have had only 3,8 hours of sun according to a friend. Well it´s that time of the year :)

Take care,

A Bird House

Good afternoon all! This week I´ve been busy with this lovely bird house. I´m no good with folds and such things, but I found a template in the Tilda Ink magazine that was easy enough for me to follow.

Decorpaper and star shaped buttons are from Panduro. The gorgeous roses are from Handarbeta. I used a Cuttlebug die for the snowflake and a QK die for small leaves. Ribbons, gems and threads are from my stash. The faux stitching is made with Sakura pens. The acetate for the window, urm the birds wont get into to this house, is from a grape package.

Here´s a picture showing the roof. One side of the roof isn´t glued and you can open it to fill the house with candy or a tea light (the electric ones works best here).

The sentiment stamp is Prima. I have been generous with Star Dust Stickles and some Perfect Pearls. I´m quite pleased with this one, as it is my first real try with a bird house, but it was so easy to follow the instructions. Might try to make a card with fun folds too :)

I´ll enter By The Cute And The Girly again, you can enter their challenges with different crafts, and Whimsy Stamps Challenges who wants to something else than cards.

Got to show you the fab blog candy I won last friday at Simon Says Stamp. It´s a lovely Penny Black stamp and I´m so looking forward to use it. I have to say that I´m surprised over the fast delivery, thanks so much Simon SS! I´ll have a lovely weekend with this one! And with my family too, hehe.

Hope you all get a fab friday evening,

Thinking of you

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all doing well. This week is much more calm at work, I´ve met all collegues and I know what to do, at least I think so, hehe. And I still got some time for crafting, so everything is fine here :)

This card that suits for Simon Says Stamp Challenge as they got a Thinking of you theme. The stamps are Magnolia and they are coloured with watercolour pens. Decorpaper is Laura Ashley, they are gorgeous. I used paperscraps for the QK leaves and flowers. Small flower punch, sentiment, gems and button are Panduro. Border punch is Martha Stewart. Thread and stars are from my stash. Sakura pens gave some glaze and golden highlights, but the photo doesn´t show them too well. We have such cloudy and rainy days at the moment.

Take care all,

Snow much fun

I bought this scrapbook paper on a sale, but it didn´t work with my photos at all. Next time I´ll bring along the photos to the store for a better colour match. It´s a bit easier with cardmaking, choose papers and then colour image. If you don´t get a colouring disaster, hehe. I had one with this image, but I hid it with a gem necklace.

This card works for Cupcake Craft Challenges as they have A Snow Much Fun theme this week.

The Magnolia image is coloured with watercolour pens and I can join Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

As I´ve used Distress Inks for distressing I can join Just Magnolia, no other distressing today, it´s distressing enough to start a new work :)

I have used white, blue and silver and have the optional snow and winter so I can join Colour Create Challenge. I had to add some warm yellow colours to Tilda, for a moment she looked as she had come out from the freezer.

Decor paper is from Panduro, I cut the sentiment from that paper too, it says Merry Christmas in Swedish.

Ribbon is KC Blue Awning, gems are Panduro and snowflakes are from my local craft shop.
I´ve used Nesties, Cuttlebug embossing folder and my scissors.

Hope you all get a nice evening,

Winter Wonder

Good evening everyone! I treated myself to some new embossingpowders a few weeks ago and I´ve been exploring how they work with different inks. It was fun to just stamp away. This card is what I came up with and I think it works well with the Winter Wonder Challenge at By The Cute And Girly.

My long recipe:
I made the decorpaper using different Tim Holtz stamps; the wings are clearembossed and the background is coloured with Distress Inks. The corner stamps are embossed with Heat Its Silvery Pearl. Crown, harlequin squares and parts of some swirls are embossed with Rangers Liquid Platinum. The colour differences depends of the ink colour.

I have used a Tim Holtz mask for the background and I also used it as a stamp to give small colour variations, but most of it tuned in to the background when I sprinkled the paper with water from my MiniMister. So much trouble for nothing, hehe.

The heart button is fom Panduro and got a layer of Rangers Crackle Paint, some more colour with a ink pad and a coat of Dimensional Magic. I can recommend the Crackle Paint, my crackle medium gives so tiny cracks compared to this one and you only need one coat of colour.

Snowflakes and stars are plastic cut with Cuttlebug dies, they got a generous layer of Stickles.
Sentiment is Panduro and gems are from my stash. All paper edges got some Stickles too.

Next week I´ll start my part time job at a local school and I do hope I´ll get some spare time for crafting and for bloghopping.

Hope you all get a fab weekend,

Hot pink and black

Here´s my card to Jaimie. I read somewhere that she likes the colours hot pink and black and that she isn´t a girly girl.

I wanted to keep the card quite clean as the colours and the dots works so well together.
I made a reversed embossing of a Nestie into the cardstock. Decorpaper and pink ribbon is Panduro, ribbons with dots are Papermania. A Sakura pen finished the flower.

The inside of the card has got a pink decorpaper from Clas Ohlsson and a black with dots from Panduro.
Heart die is QK and oval is a Nestie.

The backside did get a row of jumping QK rabbits.

Please read more about Jaimie on Whimsy Stamps Challenges, I´ll send my card tomorrow.

Take care,

More sparkle for Simon

I´ve made one more sparkly creation for Simon Says Stamps Challenge, this time it´s really sparkly! Now I do have sparkle on everything else too, it has spread itself from my workingspace to all other rooms. Won´t be suffering from any sparkle shortage when this year, hehe. Mind you, some shops have been selling Christmas decorations for two weeks now, they do start earlier every year, don´t they?

This is an altered box for some Christmas treats. I used the resist technique with lovely stamps from Simon Says. I stamped the images with a clear Tsukineko pad on a white halfglossy cardstock. It´s very tempting to press the clearstamps harder when you don´t see the image appear clearly, I need some more practise with clear pads. The images are heat embossed with Rangers clear embossing powder. I used Distress Inks for the background.

The fab tags and paper with dots are Funky Fairys. The glittery paper and snowflake brads are Papermania. Snowball border and snowflakes and stars are Cuttlebug, and swirl is from a Sissix die. Glittery effects are made with Stickles fab Star Dust and gem is from my stash. Oh, I almost forgot, the sentiment is Kortmakaren and it says "Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year".

Hope you all have a lovely sparkly day,

Friday, October 30, 2009

Good evening everyone! This week has been a busy one, the boys are on a leave and I have been running from one meeting to another. But I have managed to make a card.

Decorpaper is Funky Fairys. The Magnolia image is coloured with watercolourpens. I added some texture to her scarf with tiny stitches, next time I´ll take the smallest needle and a very thin thread, mine were too big for this, for a moment I thought I would ruin my image.

The pears are also Magnolia, they are stamped with a clear pad (Tsukineko) and embossed with a fab silvery pearl embossing powder from Heat It. It doesn´t show at all on my photo.
The glittery ribbon is Papermania and gems are from my stash, I think the raindrop shaped gems also works as pear shaped :)

Simon Says Challenge: all that sparkles.
Just Magnolia: monochrome, I added white and the image did get some colouring.
Funky Fairys Challenge: touchy feel, the ribbon is great for that!
A Spoon Full of Sugar: kitchen and cooking theme.
Cupcake Craft Challenges: I love this weeks sketch, but I always end up with something slightly different, my bad...

Now I´ll have a lovely relaxing weekend, hope you all get fab weekends too.

Different shades of white

Good morning everyone! Yesterday I came home with some new lovely cardstock and I have already cut two of them for this card. I have also used the white backsides of some decor paper scraps, one is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Two strips are punched with a MS edge punch (my new toy) , one of them did get two embossed lines too.

The image is from Greeting Farm and it is coloured with watercolours, her wings did get gold tones with a Sakura pen and dimension with Rangers Stickles. She´s a pure joy to colour!

I´ve made the flowers by following the first part of this recipe. The pearls and the small flower punch are Panduro. The ribbon is from my blogfriend Yvonne, thanks hun :)

Bizzy Becs- Creatalicious Challenges : Use only scrap/used sheets of DP and handmade flowers.

Colour Create Challenge : Make a white card, I added some golden tones and coloured the image.

Friday sketchers:
They have a lovely sketch by Claudia this week, as always I got carried away during the process and ended up with something slightly different. Some sketches are fab for inspiration!

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday,

Use a photo

Funky Fairys Challenge wants to see photos this week. I made a blue and white layout (my version of the Finnish flag) for a photo from a trip to Helsinki many years ago, it was a winter trip and freezing cold.

Decorpaper are Funky Fairys. The stamped images are Tim Holtz and I used Distress Inks for stamping and distressing. Alphabet is Sissix. Blue flowers, pearls, ribbon and small flower punch are Panduro. I made good use of my sewing machine for the circle.

I´ve hidden a tag behind the photo for journaling or more photos. The tag is from Funky Fairys free Christmas kit. I used two of them and stamped a Tim Holtz image on the smaller one. The lion reminds a little of Finlands Coat of Arms. I´m not usually keeping track of such things but as I was born in Finland...

Today I´ll be busy choosing new cardstock and adhesives and other lovely things, I hope I´ll come home with everything I need and not just things I fell in love with :)

Hope you all get a fab weekend,

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

I have followed the fab sketch at A Spoon Full of Sugar. It´s perfect for scrap pieces and so fun and easy to follow, I´ll use it again. The bright and zingy colours I´ve chosen fits in for Just Magnolia Challenge this week.

The image and bench are Magnolia, the tree is Kortmakaren, the bats and pumpkins are made with foamstamps (I don´t know the make of them). I have coloured with watercolours and Distress Inks. The Inks are so nice when you want more vivid colours. The bats are embossed with Rangers Distressed Embossing powder and I can join Whimsy Stamps Challenges.

The leaves are QK and the alphabet is Sissix. The orange-yellow decor paper is made with acrylics and Perfect Pearls. I´ve added black colour with a Sakura pen.

As I have chosen a Halloweeen team I will join Cupcake Craft Challenges, they want to see things that go bump in the night. My Tilda do look a bit scared I think, I´ll give her a nicer surrounding next time :)

Hope you all get fab day,

No image

I have followed the sketch from Simon Says Stamp Challenge, or at least my intention was to follow it. I got carried away and took an oval instead of a circle, my bad; the sketch is fab.

The decorpaper is Funky Fairys. I have used nesties for the ovals, QK for big flowers and a Panduro punch for small flowers and small heart. Sentiment is Kortmakaren. I´ve added some glitter with Rangers Stickles and highlights with a Sakura pen. Gems, ribbon and big heart are from my stash. The ribbon is dark purple but it looks black on my photo (it is too cloudy today).

As I haven´t used any image I can join Funky Fairys Challenge, they got a Guest Designer call this week too. That is a bit tempting isn´t it!?

I have used punches and dies and can join Whimsy Challenges.

Today I´m off for some shoe shopping with youngest son. The shoes we bought a month ago are already too small. Hopefully I´ll find something nice and crafty to me :)

Addition: The sentiment says " Merry Christmas and A happy New Year"

Hope you all get a nice weekend,

Halloween box 2

We´ve had this seasons first snowfall here in Stockholm. I started to long for Christmas and all lovely treats. There´s no snow left, it melted immidiately, but my treat cravings are still there. Wish they could have melted away too! I´m supposed to loose a pound or two...

I need two treat boxes for Halloween, so here comes the second one. With this one I enter the Halloween challenge at Swedish Scrapbooking. Luckily enough I´m not much for Halloween treats.

Decorpapers are from Funky Fairys. The bats are embossed with Distressed Embossing powder and then cut out. The pumpkins are stamped with the Distress Ink Fired Brick, brushed with Perfect Pearls and got a thick layer of Dimensional Magic. I cut them out and could "crack" them.
Golden swirls are QK. I added some black highlights with a Sakura pen. Ribbons, ants and green silk paper are from my stash. Candy is Anthon Berg!

Take care,

Halloween box

I´ve had this idea since I won a fab paper download from the Funky Fairys; to make a box for Halloween treats. I´m no good with folds so I simply altered a box and I can enter The Funky Fairys Challenge. I distressed the papers with Distress Inks. I used my new foam stamp set, but I don´t know the make of them. That´s the downside of buying things second hand. I´ll send a mail to the seller and ask as it´s fab set with many stamps. I found ants, ribbons and green silk paper in my stash.
As it´s a Halloween box I can also enter A Spoon Full of Sugars challenge and Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

I want to show you the cards I made during the cyber crop. We got 10 challenges during four days, I´ve never been that busy crafting. I´m out of 12" cardstock and adhesives now, hehe. But it was great fun and a real mojo boost.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

And the winner is ...

Thanks for all the comments for the candy, I have gone through them all and made a list, and hubby made a random integrator. (I´m sure there´s nice downloads for those, but he´s a computer wiz and loves to make own programmes for everything. I can´t complain, I make cards instead of buying them, hehe.)

And we have a winner:

nr 2
Clare (littlebear)
Congrats sweetie :) Please send me a mail with your address to and I´ll post the prize to you.

Hope you all get a fab Sunday, I´ll stay indoors scrapping and stamping today.

Cyber crop #1

First layout for the Cyber Crop I´m taking part of. It´s a layout lift and it was fab to follow.

I´ve used KC decorpapers. The papers for the sentiments are made with acrylics using a mister. Sentiments are Tim Holtz and I´ve used Distress Inks for stamping and distressing. Buttons are from my stash.

I´ll be busy a few days more, then I´ll come back bloghopping and drawing a candy winner too :)

Take care,

Let it snow!

I bought this lovely stamp from a scrapbook friend. Isn´t he cute! It´s my first WOJ stamp and now I can join Whiff of Joy Challenge :) I followed Rach fab sketch but turned it around.

The decorpaper with dots is Funky Fairys and I made the one with snowflakes using stamps from a Simon Says Stamp set with happy penguins. The fab sentiments are from that set too.

I stamped and distressed with Distress Inks. The oval is a nestie. The snowflakes and stars are cut out with a Cuttlebug die. I glued together two snowflakes to make them pop out more. I´ve added some highlights with a clear Sakura pen and some dimension with Stickles. I really should look for some of that lovely fluff I´ve seen on some cards, it´s better for snowballs I think, mine looks more like iceballs, hehe.

Tomorrow I´ll join my first CyberCrop, oh, and don´t forget my small candy. You are welcome to join :)

Friday, October 2, 2009

Decor papers are Funky Fairys and this week Funky Fairy Challenges are in for any kind of transportation, so my sailboat stamp from Panduro fits in. (Last week I was the happy winner, I´m still smiling! They have some free downloads if you want to try.)

Cupcake Craft Challenges wants to see bugs, the swirl and the butterflies are Tim Holtz.

I think my colours can fit in for Colour Creates Challenges choice of hot pink, dusky pink and chocolate, although I added some white for the contrast.

I´ve used Distress Inks for stamping and distressing, a clear Sakura Starlight for highlights and an embossing pen for embossed lines. Pearls, gems and dewdrop are from my stash (some of them are a gift from an internet friend, thousand thanks sweet Yvonne!).

I have to show the highlights too, and my thumb :)

Don´t forget to check my small candy, it closes the 10 October! You are welcome to join!

Kitchen glamour

I made a pocket for my recipe book for some cut out recipes. I have only coloured some details with pink, silvery grey, black and green. To my surprise the pink colour on the strawberries turned to red when I coated them with Dimensional Magic, *sighs*, true magic I guess. I left the pocket quite bare, it looked better like that when the recipes were in it.
I´m sorry for the dull photos, it´s such a cloudy evening, the colours are better IRL.

This is for Just Magnolias Challenge and their colour combo pink, grey (and black).

Papers are from Clas Ohlson, stamps are Magnolia, Panduro and TH. Stars are Gütermann and ribbon is recycled. Two of the stamped images are embossed with Rangers Distress Embossing powder. I´ve used markers and a Sakura pen for colouring and I also used Dimensional Magic. The recipes are covered with a protecting plastic sheet.

Well I need to get cracking with tea now, take care :)

The winner takes it all...

I´m trying to win over my scrapheap, so here´s a patchwork made of scraps. I made small patches to be able to use small pieces of papers too. I glued them together on a craft paper and then added some stitches with my sewing machine. I can enter Simon Says Challenge as they want some stitches. It went quite fast to make the patchwork, takes a lot more time when you use fabrics.

I have used papers from Funky Fairys, Panduro and craft papers. I´ve made some doodling around the pics and added some dots here and there with Sakura pens (the photo doesn´t show them all); so I can enter Funky Fairys Challenge too.

I have used stamps from The Papers Studio and Tim Holtz, distressed with Distress Inks and used Sissix alphabet dies. Small stars are from a Cuttlebug snowflake die. Photocorners are from my stash. "Spelkväll" is, I believe, game evening in English.

I used a fab layout made by Åsa "Badanka". Now when I look at the photo I might go back and change the darkblue paper strip to a lighter one. Photos do show almost everything, hehe.

Be sure to come and visit again :)

Take care all,

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

I was brave enough to use papers from a new stack.

I love these papers from Laura Ashley, found them on a sale. Have just been looking and drooling at them for two weeks. I saw that Bizzy Becs-Creatalicious Challenges wanted pink or plum with burgundy and green with lace, ribbon or fiber. I thought that this paper could fit in, but I do hope the cream background passes. I have distressed some of it with Distress Inks Worn Lipstick.

I used a Magnolia stamp for the image so that I can use Bevs fab sketch at Just Magnolia Challenge. I coloured it with watercolour pens and Distress Inks, I´m still not sure if I should have gone for less vibrant colours for the image, well too late now, next time I´ll be wiser...or not.

As I´ve used my distress tool (the unstitch tool) and Distress Inks to get a distressed look I can also join this weeks Cupcake Crafts Challenge.
I used scissors and hole punch to make the paper edge more interesting. I also used my oval scalloped nesties, QK die for leaves and Cuttlebug die for the flower.

Buttons and ribbon are from Panduro, everything else is from my stash. Whimsy Stamp Challenges wants to see buttons so I´m joining them this week too.

I soon need to do something to my scrap heap. If you hear about a mysterious explosion in Stockholm, you´ll know that it was my scrap heap that exploded, hehe. I´ve decided not to buy new papers before I´ve used a huge lot of those scraps. Wonder how long I will last?! I guess I´ll forget all about my decision next time I stumble over a bargain.

Hope you all get a nice evening with fab scrapping and stamping,

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Good evening everyone! I´ve done it again, ordered new stamps. Somehow stamps has a very bad influence on me, always convincing me to buy them. One of the naughty stamps is this sentiment stamp and I do love it. So much better than my handwriting, hehe. It says "Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year" in Swedish.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge has a recipe to follow: 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellies.
Funky Fairys Challenges are recycling this weeek.

Papers: Funky Fairys and blue cardstock.

Stamps: image and snowflakes are Simon Says Stamp, tree and sentiment are Kortmakaren.

Embellies: snowflake from Skapa Hobby, brad is Papermania, ribbons are recycled from a sweater and a gift.

Misc: Distress Ink, Versa Color ink, Sakura pen, Rangers Stickles, Reprint Embossing powder and Dimensional Magic. To be able to show all the glittery and glossy effects I had to take the pic sideways.

Take care all,

Fall colours

I had so much fun making this card, I think it´s because I made the decor paper. I treated an ordinary craft paper with Gesso, painted it with some acrylics and wiped off the excess colour with a damp cloth and added some Perfect Pearls when it still was wet.

You can see the golden shimmer here :)

I stamped some Tim Holtz swirls and nameless leaves with Versa Color. Image is a Magnolia coloured with watercolour pens.
I have used QK leaf die and Sissix swirl die.
Flower is from The Scrapbook Store and brad is Reprint. Some doodling with a Sakura pen. Everything else is from my stash, I made the crochet flower following Nicoles recipe. I made a simple flower, the first part of the recipe.

Challenges it fits in for:
A Spoon Full of Sugar and Whimsy Stamps wants to see fall projects.
Cupcake Crafts wants to see pearls and swirls.

Hope you´re having a fab day,

Two layouts

Here comes two layouts I have made for Swedish Scrapbooking. The first is a sketch challenge, I altered it a bit as my album is A4 size. I would love to make 12" but that´s too big for my album storage. Would need some new storage...and a bigger flat, hehe.
Decor paper with arrows is from Blonde Moments, paper with stripes is from my scrapbox.
I have used QK star die and cut out an arrow from the decor paper. I made the car from a cardstock piece. The text is created with Tim Holtz alphabet masks and Ditress Inks and some colouring with a Sakura pen.
For this one the theme was to use stamps on a scrap layout and that´s one of my favourites. So easy to make own decor papers.
Stamps: Panduro monsters, leaves unknown, stamp and swirls Tim Holtz
Inks: Distress Inks
Papers: KC, Bazzill Bling, craft papers
Dies: QK leaves, Sissix alphabet and raindrops
Misc: flowers and brads from The Scrapbook Store, Sakura pen for highlights, Perfect Pearls

I love to read your comments / Jag läser gärna era kommentarer

I won some candy!

I won some fab candy from Lorraine at Funky Fairies Blog Hop. I did get Simon Says lovely penguin stamps, brads, gorgeous glitter paper and beautiful ribbons from Papermania. And a cute card too, I have it on my bedside table. Thank you Lorraine, I can´t thank you enough! I´ve been planning all week what to make with this lovely gift. I do love penguins, I even have a painting with penguins, hehe.
I had already started to work with this card when my candy arrived. The snowflake stamps from the penguin set went along perfect with my theme, as a brad and a ribbon. Sometimes new clearstamps don´t work so well with Distress Inks, but theese were fab from the start. I´m happy as a kid to play with my new toys!
I´ve also used Magnolia image, tag and rose border. Decorpapers are from Funky Fairies. Snowflakes are from Skapa Hobby and pearls are from my stash. I added some highlights with a Sakura pen, tag and rose border are embossed with a turqouise embossing powder from Reprint.

Funky Fairies want to see some tags.
Just Magnolia wants to see some embossing.
The fab sketch is from Friday Sketchers, I´ll use this one again :)

Red, white and blue

I´m all in for Christmas cards at the moment, as it takes ages for me to make one card I better keep up some steam to have them ready for December.
Image is Magnolia and I coloured it with watercolour pens. I think I´ll need to get another red pen to get a more vibrant colour. Have been drooling over some Copics but they´re still at the shop, hehe. Can´t decide what markers to use as watercolours are so easy.
Decor papers are Panduro, I have used Nesties for oval,QK dies for leaves and Cuttlebug dies for flowers. Everything else is from my stash.
Cupcake Craft Challenges want to see blue, white and red this week.
Whimsy Stamps wants to see stitches.
The fab sketch is from A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge.

Have a fab day,

Birthday card

Good morning! Rain is pouring down and heavy winds throw the rain forward in cascades and the sun is shining. Funny weather, can´t decide how to be. It´s behaving like I am when choosing clothes, hehe. Or creating this card, now when I look at it I want to change something, but here it is glued together *sighs*.

Simon Says Stamp are celebrating Heidis birthday so this card is for her, they have fab sketch to follow. Happy Birthday Heidi!!!
Colour Create wants to see ruby, cream and gold.

Image and sentiment stamp are from Magnolia, I did only use a part of the sentiment stamp. Inks are Memories and Distress Inks. I coloured with watercolour pens and added some golden tones to the papers with Rangers Perfect Pearls (doesn´t show too well on my photo but looks fab IRL).
The swirly paper is from Maja Design and all others are from my scrapbox.
I´ve used nesties for ovals, QK for leaves, Cuttlebug dies for flowers, tag, corners and small squares, Panduro heart punch, unstitch tool for paper distressing, corner and hole punch.
Pearls, ribbon and brads are from my stash.

I´m happy it´s Friday today, tonight we´ll have a chinese take away and choose some nice film for the whole family. Oldest son will also be at home because he has to get up early tomorrow for a football game, otherwise he would be with friends, it´s nice to have them around. They grow up so fast.

I do love your comments because then I can come and visit you too :)

Hope you get a great weekend,

Easy peasy card

Good morning everyone! The clouds are heavy over Stockholm today and rain is falling down, it feels like fall is coming, there´s a chill in the air. I don´t mind as I can stay inside and craft :)

This card is an easy peasy one, cardstock and DP from Funky Fairies, image is Magnolia, I´ve used Memories ink for image and Distress inks for paper distressing, thread DMC, brad The Scrapbook Store, ribbon and buttons from my stash, I´ve coloured the image with watercolour pens. I love that background paper and wanted it to show, so the card is a bit bare this time.

Cupcake Craft Challenges: one ribbon, two DP:s and three buttons
Magnolias challenge: ribbons and bows (although I don´t know if my bow is bowish enough)
Spoon full of sugar challenge: distressing

I´m very happy for your comments because then I can come and visit you too.

Have a great day,

Small album for memories

I´ve made this small album for some pre school memories, it also works well with school memories. It´s great to collect photos from plays, mascerades, outings and exhibitions. You could make an album for best friends too. This is for Simon Says Stamp.

It´s so easy to make these if you have Melitta coffee/tea filters. You will also need a bunch of matching decor papers. I´ve covered both sides of the filter with DP. I sewed all sides on the first and last filter, the other filters still have the opening left for private tags with journaling or more photos.

For this album I used 8 filters, I didn´t want to bore you with pics of all of the pages.
I´ve borrowed the album idea from a book by Cathrine Rein Carlson and Turid Eide and it´s called new Scrap ideas. I don´t know if it´s available in English too, mine was in Swedish.

Papers are from a retail shop called Clas Ohlson, a heaven for men with some goodies for us too, hehe. I´ve used Distress Inks and stamps from Tim Holtz, House Mouse, Prima, The Paper Studio, Panduro and a nameless one. Dies are from QK, Cuttlebug, Sissix and Nestabilities. I have also used a flower punch from Panduro, Sakura pens, Dimensional Magic, DMC thread and been handy with me scissors. Lizards are from my stash.

I got my Magnolia Fall Kit today, hooray! I´ll go and play with those cuties now. Take care!!!
